At a very young age, Dr. Payne knew he wanted to be a doctor. He obtained his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Logan University in St. Louis, Missouri in 1992. He has worked on the medical side assisting in hundreds of surgeries, used to practice acupuncture, and chose the chiropractic industry above all.
Payne has obtained advanced certifications through Chiropractic BioPhysics (CBP) and this is what he bases AVANT's practice around. Having adjusted patients for over twenty years, he still comes into the clinic with the biggest smile and enough enthusiasm for all.

Kate dabbled in Journalism at Carleton and then happily settled into Integrated Marketing Communications at Algonquin College. She's highly organized and you'll often find her intensely focused on design projects, building this website or getting patients to vote on their favourite – everything!

Heike is a behind-the-scenes, integral part of AVANT. She spent months drywalling, sanding and painting our new clinic space and has recently transitioned into the office to assist with daily operations. You'll enjoy her German efficiency and subtle southern accent – always with a smile.
