Finding Treasures

Today, Dr. Payne dropped a book on my desk. It was a compilation of "Optimal Health Surveys". Patients would write what their life was like before care, and how it's changed. I'll share one entry this morning dated on February 5, 2001.
Patient: D.P.
Why did you originally consult a chiropractor?
Pain on my right side in the area of my liver. Headaches for years.
How did you find out about chiropractic?
I accidentally saw a chiropractor while at a summer solstice celebration in New Mexico in 1999. Felt great after the adjustment!
How were you coping before chiropractic?
Would you believe me – leaning to one side?!
How did your problems interfere with your daily routine?
Made it hard to get up in the morning. Pain and lack of flow in the liver area made me constantly grumpy.
What areas of improvement have you noticed?
Pain has been reduced to almost nothing. I am nowhere near as grumpy. Heck, I may even qualify as happy!
Would you recommend chiropractic to others? Why?
Absolutely – because it works! :)
Additional thoughts:
It's not a "quick-fix". You need to be patient and consistent in your treatment course. It is a great idea to assist your healing by adjusting your lifestyle.
You can't fix your spine over night, but you can uncover treasures in good time. – Kate
